TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of myDubaiLawyer.ae and all pages, content, enquiry functions, contact channels and materials made available through it (the “Website”). By accessing, browsing or using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree with them, you should not use the Website.

1.PROFESSIONAL STATUS AND PURPOSE OF THE WEBSITE

The Website is a professional information website concerning George Saji Kuruvilla (“George”), Head of Disputes at Ammar Almulla Advocates and Legal Consultants LLC (“AMCO Law Firm”). George is a legal consultant registered with the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department and is registered under Part II of the DIFC Courts’ Register of Legal Practitioners.

The Website is not a law firm, legal consultancy, branch office, representative office or separate legal practice. It does not hold itself out as an entity capable of accepting a retainer, issuing legal advice, receiving client money or providing legal representation. George practises through AMCO Law Firm. Any legal service that may follow from an enquiry through the Website is provided only by or through AMCO Law Firm after the matter has been formally accepted in accordance with AMCO Law Firm’s applicable client acceptance procedures and terms of engagement.

Nothing on the Website is intended to create or imply a legal practice separate from AMCO Law Firm, a partnership with any other person, or any personal undertaking by George outside his professional role with AMCO Law Firm. References to George’s professional registrations or court registration describe his individual professional status only. They do not mean that the Website is licensed or regulated as a separate legal practice, nor do they by themselves determine the law or forum applicable to any visitor or matter.

Professional titles, registrations and descriptions shown on the Website are subject to renewal, amendment and the status recorded by the relevant authority from time to time. If there is any inconsistency between the Website and an official professional register, the official register prevails.

2. NO LAWYER CLIENT RELATIONSHIP AND NO PERSONAL RETAINER

No lawyer client relationship, retainer, fiduciary relationship, duty of care or other professional relationship is created with George or AMCO Law Firm merely by accessing or using the Website. The same applies to (i) submitting an enquiry or online form; (ii) sending an email, WhatsApp message, document or other information; (iii) making or receiving a telephone call; (iv) requesting, booking or attending an introductory meeting or consultation; (v) receiving an acknowledgement or preliminary response; or (vi) communicating with George or any person associated with the Website before AMCO Law Firm has formally accepted the matter.
A lawyer client relationship arises only when AMCO Law Firm has completed any conflict, identity, compliance and client acceptance checks it considers necessary and has expressly confirmed the engagement in writing. No oral statement, informal message, calendar invitation, automated confirmation, preliminary discussion, request for documents or indication that a matter is being considered constitutes acceptance of instructions unless AMCO Law Firm expressly confirms otherwise in writing.
Any engagement that is accepted is an engagement of AMCO Law Firm in accordance with its terms of engagement. Nothing on the Website creates a separate personal retainer of George, a personal guarantee by him, or a personal contractual assumption of responsibility for the provision or outcome of legal services. The Website cannot vary, supplement or override AMCO Law Firm’s terms of engagement.

3. NO DUTY TO ACT, PROTECT A POSITION OR MONITOR DEADLINES

Unless and until an engagement is formally accepted by AMCO Law Firm, neither George nor AMCO Law Firm has undertaken to advise you, assess the merits of your matter, review documents, preserve evidence, communicate with another party, commence or defend proceedings, file or serve documents, enter an appearance, lodge an appeal, make a payment, attend a hearing, comply with any procedural step, or take any action to preserve or protect your rights.
You remain solely responsible for all limitation periods, appeal periods, filing dates, hearing dates, payment dates, contractual notices and other time limits unless AMCO Law Firm has expressly accepted responsibility for the relevant matter in writing. An unanswered enquiry, delay in response, request for further information, initial call or ongoing preliminary discussion must never be treated as confirmation that a deadline is being monitored or that any protective step will be taken.

4. WEBSITE MATERIAL IS GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY

The Website may contain articles, legal updates, commentary, case summaries, interviews, publications, videos, presentations, frequently asked questions and other materials. They are provided for general information only and are not legal advice, a legal opinion, a recommendation, a representation as to the law, or an invitation to act or refrain from acting in any particular way.
Legal rights and outcomes depend on the facts, evidence, governing law, procedural rules, forum and timing of the particular matter. Material that appears relevant to one dispute or transaction may be inapplicable to another. You should obtain advice on your own circumstances before taking, postponing or refraining from any step.
Although reasonable care may be taken when preparing Website content, no representation, warranty or undertaking is given that any material is complete, accurate, error free, current, exhaustive or suitable for a particular purpose. Law and practice change, sometimes without notice. Material may therefore become inaccurate or outdated after publication and there is no continuing duty to update previously published content.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Website content is not a formal opinion of AMCO Law Firm. No visitor, recipient, person to whom Website content is forwarded, or other third party is entitled to treat that content as having been prepared for them or to assume that George or AMCO Law Firm has accepted a duty of care to them.

5. ENQUIRIES, CONFIDENTIALITY, PRIVILEGE AND CONFLICTS

Before AMCO Law Firm confirms an engagement, you should not send confidential, privileged, commercially sensitive or highly personal information unless specifically requested. Information sent through the Website or to a contact address published on it is not made confidential or privileged merely because it has been sent to George or because it relates to a legal matter.
Receipt of unsolicited information does not itself create confidentiality obligations beyond those imposed by applicable law and professional rules, does not create a lawyer client relationship, and does not prevent George or AMCO Law Firm from acting for another person, including a person whose interests may be adverse to yours, subject always to applicable conflict and professional conduct obligations.
AMCO Law Firm may decline an enquiry or proposed engagement for any lawful reason, including an actual or potential conflict of interest, capacity, jurisdictional considerations, compliance requirements or commercial reasons. Neither George nor AMCO Law Firm is required to explain why a matter has not been accepted.
Information submitted in connection with an enquiry may be shared with appropriate personnel at AMCO Law Firm for conflict checking, compliance, client onboarding, allocation and response. If you submit information concerning another person, you represent that you are entitled to provide it for the purpose for which it is submitted.

6. COMMUNICATIONS, CYBERSECURITY AND FRAUD

Electronic communications are inherently subject to risks including delay, interception, corruption, malware, impersonation, spoofing and unauthorised access. No representation is made that any communication channel connected with the Website is completely secure or uninterrupted.
You should independently verify any unusual or material instruction that appears to come from George or AMCO Law Firm, particularly any instruction concerning payment, bank details, transfer of funds, release of documents or disclosure of sensitive information. You should not make a payment solely in reliance on bank details contained in a Website message or an unverified electronic communication. Where payment is required in connection with legal services, it should be made only in accordance with instructions issued or verified through AMCO Law Firm.
Neither George nor AMCO Law Firm assumes responsibility for communications, websites, social media accounts or payment instructions created or altered by an unauthorised third party. Suspected impersonation, fraud or misuse of George’s name, image, professional details or AMCO Law Firm’s identity should be independently verified before any action is taken.

7. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULT

Any reference on the Website to professional experience, representative matters, decisions, recoveries, settlements, testimonials, rankings or outcomes is provided for general background only. Past experience or results do not predict or guarantee the result of any future matter. No statement on the Website constitutes a promise, warranty or assurance as to outcome, duration, cost, recoverability, enforcement or commercial result.

8. PERMITTED USE AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, the Website and its text, articles, layout, graphics, photographs, branding and other material are owned by, licensed to, or used with permission for the Website and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and download material for your own lawful and non commercial reference only.
You may not, without prior written permission, (i) reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit Website material; (ii) alter or remove attribution, copyright or proprietary notices; (iii) use Website material in a misleading manner or out of context; (iv) use George’s name, image, professional details or branding to suggest an association, endorsement or authority that does not exist; or (v) scrape, harvest, systematically copy or use the Website or its content to build a database or competing service.

9. PROHIBITED USE

You must not use the Website in any manner that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, defamatory, misleading or harmful. Without limitation, you must not (i) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website or any connected system; (ii) introduce malware or other harmful code; (iii) interfere with Website operation or security; (iv) impersonate George, AMCO Law Firm or another person; (v) use Website contact details for unsolicited marketing or mass solicitation; or (vi) use Website material to misrepresent legal advice, professional authority or a relationship with George or AMCO Law Firm.

10. THIRD PARTY LINKS AND EXTERNAL MATERIAL

The Website may contain links to courts, government bodies, professional registers, social media platforms, publications and other third party websites or materials. Links are provided for convenience or reference only. Neither George nor AMCO Law Firm controls third party content and, unless expressly stated, a link does not amount to endorsement, adoption or approval of that content, organisation, product or service.
Third party websites operate under their own terms, privacy practices and security arrangements. You access them at your own discretion and risk.

11. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES

The Website may be changed, suspended, restricted or discontinued at any time. There is no obligation to maintain any particular content, feature, contact channel or publication. No responsibility is assumed for temporary or permanent unavailability, technical interruption, transmission failure, loss of content or incompatibility with a particular device or system.

12. LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, George and AMCO Law Firm do not accept responsibility for any loss, damage, cost, claim, consequence or decision arising solely from (i) access to or inability to access the Website; (ii) reliance on general Website material; (iii) use of third party links or materials; (iv) transmission of unsolicited information before an engagement is accepted; (v) delay or failure in an enquiry reaching its intended recipient; or (vi) unauthorised third party interference with electronic communications.
In particular, no responsibility is accepted for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss or corruption of data, or steps taken or omitted in reliance on general Website material, to the extent such liability may lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These Terms concern Website use only. Responsibility, if any, arising from legal services formally accepted by AMCO Law Firm is governed by the relevant engagement terms, applicable law and applicable professional rules. No Website provision creates a separate personal contractual liability of George for services undertaken by AMCO Law Firm.

13. RESPONSIBILITY FOR MISUSE

You are responsible for your own use of the Website. To the extent permitted by law, you will be responsible for loss or expense directly resulting from your unlawful misuse of the Website, infringement of intellectual property rights, impersonation, unauthorised access, malicious interference or material breach of these Terms.

14. PRIVACY

Personal information collected through or in connection with the Website is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy below. Where an enquiry becomes or relates to a matter handled by AMCO Law Firm, AMCO Law Firm may process the relevant information under its own privacy practices, professional duties and applicable law.

15. WAIVER, SEVERABILITY AND ENTIRE WEBSITE TERMS

A failure or delay in enforcing any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be applied to the maximum extent permitted and, where necessary, severed without affecting the remaining provisions.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the terms governing use of the Website. They do not constitute terms of engagement for legal services and cannot be relied upon as evidence that any legal engagement has been accepted.

16. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and any dispute or non contractual obligation arising solely from access to or use of the Website are governed by the laws applicable in the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Subject to any mandatory rule of law, the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to such Website disputes.

17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

These Terms may be revised from time to time without prior notice. The version published on the Website at the time of use applies to that use. Continued use after a revised version is published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
